La Crosse mayoral candidate engages community in Community Action Roundtable

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- La Crosse Mayoral Candidate Shaundel Washington-Spivey hosted a community action roundtable Wednesday.
The nonprofit director announced his bid for mayor in October.
He says he'll be spending the next two months gaining a deeper understanding of needs facing the community.
Washington-Spivey believes the best way to do so is by speaking directly to his constituents.
"After we get all the feedback and have the conversations, we will take what the people are saying in the community and base both my campaign promises and platform off of it," said Washington-Spivey.
This was the first of six roundtables the candidate plans on hosting before the February primary.
